"County Treasurer, " as said sections were amended by
Chapter 511 of the Acts of 1941, relating to the compensa-
tion of the Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer of Kent County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 155 and 156 of Article 15 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Kent
County, " sub-title "County Treasurer, " as said sections were
amended by Chapter 511 of the Acts of 1941, be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
155. The Treasurer shall receive, as compensation for all
services as Treasurer, the annual salary of [Twenty-four]
Twenty-eight Hundred Dollars, payable in equal monthly
installments upon the order of the said Board of County Com-
missioners, and no other compensation or commission shall
accrue to said Treasurer in the performance of his duties
as Treasurer.
156. The Treasurer shall appoint [one or more clerks as
may be necessary for the proper discharge of the duties of
his office, who shall be] a deputy Treasurer [s], who shall
qualify under the Constitution of the State, and shall give
such bond to the Treasurer as he may require, [but the aggre-
gate annual salary of said clerks or deputies shall, in no case,
exceed the sum of Sixteen Hundred Dollars], and he shall
receive as compensation an annual salary of Twenty-four
Hundred Dollars ($2400. 00), payable in equal monthly install-
ments.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
