(House Bill 447)

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Cumber-
land, Maryland, to accept an advance or loan in an amount
not to exceed Fifty-six Thousand Dollars ($56, 000. 00) from
the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the United States
of America, for the preparation of plans and specifications
for a Sewage Disposal and Treatment System, and to enter
into a contract with the United States of America through
said agency in regard thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Mary-
land, be and it is hereby authorized to accept an advance or
loan from the Housing and Home Finance Agency of the
United States of America in an amount not to exceed the sum
of Fifty-six Thousand Dollars ($56, 000. 00), to cover the cost
of preparation of plans and specifications for a Sewage Dis-
posal and Treatment System for said City of Cumberland and
vicinity, and to enter into said contract with the United States
of America through said agency in regard to the same.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That upon the receipt of
said advance or loan or any part thereof, the proceeds thereof
shall be placed in a separate fund and used by the Mayor and
City Council of Cumberland solely for payment of preparation
of said plans and specifications for said Sewage Disposal and
Treatment System, and for no other purpose or purposes what-
soever.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
