OF SPECIAL ELECTIONS OR SPECIAL SERVICES REN-
DERED THE SAID COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL
AT THE REQUEST AND RECOMMENDATION OF THE
SUPERVISORS OF ELECTIONS, ALLOW SUCH ADDI-
TIONAL COMPENSATION AS THEY MAY DEEM COM-
MENSURATE WITH SUCH SPECIAL SERVICES REN-
DERED.

21A. (a) In Dorchester County a new general registration of
all the qualified voters of said county shall be
made by the
Boards of Registry in the year 1952, such new general regis-
tration shall be made in the
same manner and under the same
rules and provisions in all respects as are provided in this
Article, so far as the same may be
applicable and except as
herein modified. Each Board of Registry shall sit for said new
registration at the place designated by the Board of Super-
visors of Elections, on Monday and Tuesday, the 7th and 8th
of April, 1952, and on Monday and Tuesday, the 21st and 22nd
of April, 1952, and shall register the names of voters on the
four days aforesaid. The registration of voters that shall be

made at the sittings above provided in April shall be used at
the primary election to be held in the said year 1952 as the
sole list of voters who may be
entitled to vote at said primary.
Each Board of Registry shall also sit for said new registra-
tion at the place designated on Monday and Tuesday, Sep-

tember 15 and16, and Monday, September 29, 1952, in
addition to the days prescribed by said Section 15 prior to
the general election in November, 1952. The registration of
voters made under the provisions of this section shall super-
sede and thereafter be
used in the place of the present regis-
tration of voters in Dorchester County.

(B) THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ELECTIONS
OF DORCHESTER COUNTY IS HEREBY AUTHORIZED
AND DIRECTED TO PROVIDE NEW REGISTRY BOOKS
WHICH SHALL CONSIST OF CARDS OR LOOSE-LEAF
PAGES BOUND IN LOCKED BINDERS. THE PRO-
VISIONS OF SECTION 13A OF THIS ARTICLE RELAT-
ING TO THE REGISTRATION OF VOTERS AND THE
MAINTENANCE OF RECORDS UNDER THE CARD OR
LOOSE-LEAF SYSTEM SHALL BE APPLICABLE IN DOR-
CHESTER COUNTY. THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF DORCHESTER COUNTY ARE HEREBY AUTHOR-
IZED AND DIRECTED TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY
FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE NEW REGISTRY
BOOKS AND FOR THE NEW GENERAL REGISTRATION
OF VOTERS PROVIDED FOR BY THIS SECTION.
