Prince George's County", sub-title "Seat Pleasant", Sub-
section 1241 (h) thereof having been amended by Chapter
91 of the Acts of 1947; to add two new sections to said
Article and sub-title, said new sections to be known as Sec-
tions 1234C and 1236A, to follow respectively after Sections
1234B (as enacted by Chapter 92 of the Acts of 1947), and
1236 thereof, changing the corporate boundaries of the Town
of Seat Pleasant, increasing the number of councilmen from
five to seven, establishing five sub-divisions for the election
of councilmen, increasing the permissible bond of indebted-
ness of said Town and generally amending the Charter of the
Town of Seat Pleas-ant, and providing for a referendum
thereon.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 1235 and 1237 and Sub-section 1241 (h) of
the Code of Prince George's County (1943 Edition, being
Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Prince George's County", sub-title "Seat Pleasant", Sub-
section 1241 (h) thereof having been amended by Chapter 91
of the Acts of 1947, be and they are hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments; that two new sections be and they
are hereby added to said Article and sub-title, said new sec-
tions to be known as Sections 1234C and 1236A, to follow re-
spectively after Sections 1234B (as enacted by Chapter 92 of
the Acts of 1947) and 1236 thereof, and all to read as follows:
1234C. (a) The boundaries of the Town of Seat Pleasant are
hereby extended to include the following area: That land
bounded on the west by the main stem of Cabin Branch Greek
which forms the present boundary of the Town and on the
south and east by "F" Street and on the north by the tributary
of Cabin Branch Creek which enters said Greek at Palmer
Highway.
(b) All of the territory hereby annexed to the Town of Seat
Pleasant shall from and after June 1, 1951, be subject to all
laws, ordinances and regulations of the Mayor and Common
Council of Seat Pleasant, provided, however, that the land now
tawed as acreage in said annexed area shall be service free and
tax free until the time as said acreage is subdivided.
1235. The governmental functions of said town shall be
vested in Mayor and [five] seven Councilmen, who shall serve
without compensation as such, and each of whom shall have at-
tained the age of twenty-five years on the day of election, and
shall have resided within the corporate limits of said town not
less than two years prior to election, and each of whom shall
be assessed either individually or jointly on the tax books of
