1076 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 349

(6) Criers in St. Mary's County shall each receive One
Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars ($125. 00) per year.

(7) Criers in Carroll, Cecil, Montgomery, Talbot and
Wicomico Counties shall each receive such compensation
as the County Commissioners of said counties shall deter-
mine.

(8) Criers in Garrett [, Queen Anne's] and Somerset
Counties shall each receive such compensation as the
County Commissioners shall prescribe, but not exceeding
Five Dollars ($5. 00) per day.

(9) Criers in Queen Anne's County shall each receive
Ten Dollars ($10. 00) per day.

(10) The several bailiffs and criers shall perform such
duties as may be prescribed by the several laws of the
State and by the local laws of their respective counties.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 349
(Senate Bill 452)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with aments, Section 372
of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Somerset County, " sub-title
'"Roads, " increasing the salary of the Somerset County
Road Superintendent and removing obsolete provisions
from said section.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 372 of Article 20 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Somerset Coun-
ty, " sub-title "Roads, " be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

372. The Chairman of the State Roads Commission
[and Director of Public Works] shall, on or before the
