titled to recover from the county the amount specified for
the work so to be done.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

AN ACT to add seven new sections to Article 8 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Cecil County, " to be under a new sub-title "Taxicabs, "
said new sections to be known as Sections 452-458, in-
clusive, and to follow immediately after Section 451 of
said Article, providing for the regulation in Cecil County
of taxicabs and their owners and operators, by the
County Commissioners of Cecil County and providing
for the regulation and fixing of rates in the 7th Election
District of Cecil County to be charged for the transpor-
tation of passengers by said taxicabs and their owners
and operators by the said County Commissioners and
providing penalties for violation of such regulations.
WHEREAS, the U. S. Naval Training Center at Bain-
bridge, Maryland, has recently been reactivated, necessi-
tating the regulation and control of taxis operating in
that area; now therefore
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That seven new sections be and they are. hereby added to
Article 8 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, " to be under the new
sub-title "Taxicabs, " said new sections to be known as
Sections 452—458, inclusive, to follow immediately after
Section 451 of said Article, and to read as follows:
Taxicabs
452. The term "Taxicabs" as used in this sub-title
shall embrace any motor vehicle for hire, designed to carry
