CHAPTER 317
(Senate Bill 314)
AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 33A of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Eminent Domain", said Section to be known as Sec-
tion 13A, to follow immediately after Section 13 of said
Article; and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Section 18E of said Article and title, requiring the re-
cording of inquisitions in condemnation cases among
the land records.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section be and it is hereby added to Article
33A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment), title "Eminent Domain", said new Section to be
known as Section 13A, to follow immediately after Section
13 of said Article, and to read as follows:
13A. Upon the entering of final judgment in favor of
the petitioner and if no appeal is taken as provided under
this Article, the inquisition shall be recorded among the
land records of the County or the City of Baltimore by
the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County or the Clerk
of the Superior Court of Baltimore City, as the case may
be. Said recordation shall be in addition to the recording
of the inquisition among the judgment records. Said
recordation among the land records shall be for the pur-
pose of providing constructive notice and the failure to so
record shall in no way affect the validity of the title vested
in the petitioner by said inquisition. The cost of recording
of said inquisition among the land records as aforesaid
shall constitute part of the cost of the condemnation pro-
ceeding.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That Section 18E of
Article 33A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947
Supplement), title "Eminent Domain", be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
18E. Whenever land sought to be condemned under
this Article lies partly in one county and partly in another,
