so purchased, or execute notes or make such other agree-
ments and do such other things as may be necessary to
obtain the benefits of the said Servicemen's Readjustment
Act, and amendments thereto, AND ALSO MAY EXE-
CUTE RELEASES OF CLAIMS in the same manner and
with the same effect as though twenty-one years of age.
The minor husband or wife of any said war veteran
or member of the Armed Services may join in any such
deed or mortgage for the purpose of releasing rights of
dower and other rights in the same manner and with the
same effect as though twenty-one years of age.

Sec. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT
THIS ACT IS HEREBY DECLARED TO BE AN EMER-
GENCY LAW AND NECESSARY FOR THE IMME-
DIATE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH
AND SAFETY, AND HAVING BEEN PASSED BY A
YEA AND NAY VOTE, SUPPORTED BY THREE-
FIFTHS OF ALL THE MEMBERS ELECTED TO EACH
OF THE TWO HOUSES OF THE GENERAL ASSEM-
BLY, THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT FROM THE
DATE OF ITS PASSAGE.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
7 SECTIONS 7 AND 11 of Article 89C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition), title "Support of
Dependents", sub-title "Civil Enforcement", as said
Article was enacted by Chapter 301 of the Acts of 1951,
to correct an error in said section. IN SECTION 7 AND
TO MODIFY THE PROVISIONS AS TO COUNSEL
FOR PETITIONER.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 7 SECTIONS 7 AND 11 of Article
89C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition),
title "Support of Dependents", sub-title "Civil Enforce-
