the Annotated Code of Maryland—1951 Edition, said
Section being Section 7 in the 1939 Edition—title "Pen-
sions," sub-title "Allowance on Ordinary Disability
Retirement," be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
8.
(4) (b) A pension which, together with his annuity,
shall provide a total retirement allowance equal to ((ninety
per centum of )) one seventieth of his average final com-
pensation multiplied by the number of years of his
creditable service, if such retirement allowance exceeds
one-quarter of his average final compensation; otherwise
a pension which, together with his annuity, shall provide
a total retirement allowance equal to one-quarter of his
average final compensation, provided, however, that no
such allowance shall exceed ((ninety per centum of))
one-seventieth of his average final compensation multiplied
by the number of years which would be creditable to him
were his service to continue until the attainment of age 60.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1952.

CHAPTER 41
(Senate Bill 88)
AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 11 of Article
73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition—
said section being Section 10 of the 1939 Edition), title
"Pensions," said new sub-section to be known as Sub-
section (7) and to follow immediately after Sub-section
(6) of said section, relating to supplementary payments
to certain members who may be retired in the future
or their beneficiaries.
SECTION 1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Section
11 of Article 73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951
Edition—said section being Section 10 of the 1939 Edi-
