1947 Supplement), providing that the State Planning
Commission shall submit an annual capital improvement
program.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 4 of Article 88C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1951 Edition—being Section 4 of said
Article in the 1947 Supplement), be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
4. It shall be the duty of such Planning Commission to
prepare and keep up to date a long-term development pro-
gram of major State improvement projects. The various
State departments, institutions, officials and agencies shall
prepare and submit to such Planning Commission, not later
than July 1st [in the even-numbered years] each year,
their proposals for major projects. It shall be the duty of
such Planning Commission to co-ordinate such plans and
proposals with each other and with the general plans of
such Commission, [and to submit to the Governor and the
General Assembly a report at least once every two years
showing the Commission's recommendations and program
for improvement projects] and shall submit to the Director
of the Budget, on or before September 15 in every year,
its recommendations and program for improvement pro-
jects and shall include such recommendations and program
in its annual report to the Governor and the General
Assembly.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall!
take effect June 1, 1952.
