CHAPTER 22
(Senate Bill 24)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
18 of Article 15A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1951 Edition—being Section 17 of the 1939 Code, as
amended), providing for inclusion in the tentative budget
of proposed expenditures for capital improvements.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 18 of Article 15A of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition—being Section 17
of the 1939 Code, as amended), be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as fol-
lows :
18. (a). It shall be the duty of the Director to prepare
a tentative budget and report for the assistance of the
Governor in the preparation of his budget bills for sub-
mission to the Legislature. Such report shall be classified
and in such form and detail as prescribed by Article 3,
Section 52 of the Constitution.
(b). It shall also be the duty of said Director to include
in such tentative budget and report the item or items for
capital improvements recommended by the State Planning
Commission in accordance with the provisions of Section
4 of Article 88C.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1952.
