|
Resolution in favour of the Chief and Assistant Clerks
of the Senate.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer for the Western Shore pay to the Chief
Clerk and Assistant Clerk of the Senate, each the sum
of one hundred dollars out of any unapropriated money
in the Treasury, as a further compensation for their
extraordinary services during the present session.

Resolution relative to McMahon's Maryland.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Librarian be, and he is hereby authorised un-
der the direction of the Joint Committee on the State
Library, to present one copy of McMahon's first vol-
ume of the History of Maryland to St. John's College,
and to each incorporated academy in this State, and
the residue of the said work to exchange or dispose of
for other works, for the use of the Library, reserving
twenty-five copies for the further distribution of the
Legislature.

Resolutions in relation to the Rivers entering into
Tangier Sound, and Pocomoke Bay.
WHEREAS, the rivers which enter into Tangier
Sound near Watkin's point, and the waters of Poco-
moke bay, are believed to be accessible to ships or ves-
sels of burden, and large quantities of the productions
of agriculture, the forests and fisheries are freighted
from them; and whereas, during the winter, whilst
other sources are closed, the northern and southern
cities could be extensively supplied from the conveni-
ent and safe harbors of those waters, to the manifest
