RESOLUTIONS.

1837.

ploy some competent person to make an index to the
laws and resolutions of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, from December session eighteen hundred and
thirty-two, to December session eighteen hundred and
thirty-seven, inclusive, and that two hundred and fifty
copies of the same be printed under his direction, and
that he draw on the Treasurer of the Western Shore
for such sum as may be necessary to defray the ex-
penses thereof, not exceeding the expense usual for
similar work, and that ten copies be distributed to each
of the counties in the State.

No. 49.

Resolution relative to Bozman's History of Maryland
and other books.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland. That
the State Librarian be, and he is hereby authorised,
under the direction of the Joint Committee on the State
Library, to present one set of Bozman's History of
Maryland out of the five hundred in the Library, and
one copy of the Proceedings of the Convention of the
Province of Maryland in seventeen hundred and seven-
ty-four, five and six, to the Librarian of Harvard U-
niversity, Yale and St. John's colleges, to each incor-
porated academy in this State and to any other public
institutions in this State or the United States, as the
joint committee may select, and the residue of the said
works shall be reserved for the future distribution of
the Legislature.
Resolved, That the State Librarian he, and he is
hereby authorised, under the direction of the Joint
Committee on the State Library, to exchange or other-
wise dispose of all the surplus copies of Bozman's
History of Maryland and the Proceedings of the Con-
vention of Maryland in seventeen hundred and seventy
four, five and six, reserving twenty-five sets of each of
said works for the use of the library; also, to exchange
or otherwise dispose of copies of any other works now
in the library which, said committee may deem redund-
ant, and the proceeds of the same, the joint committee
