An act to authorise. George Morton, of Prince George's
county, Guardian of George W. Morton and Harriet
Morton, to consent to the reference of certain contro-
versies between his Wards and a certain John S.
Skinner, and to declare the award of such reference
to be binding on said Wards.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall and may be lawful for the said George
Morton. for, and in behalf of his wards, George W.
Morton and Harriet Morton, to consent to a reference
of the action of ejectment now pending in Anne Arun-
del county court, between George W. Morton and
Harriet Morton's lessee, and Benjamin Leach, John
Leach, William Leach and Thomas Leach, the defend-
ants, and also of the controversies between his said
wards and John S. Skinner, in relation to the land in
the proceedings in said suit mentioned, and in relation
to another parcel of land in the possession of said
Skinner, to which the said wards claim title, and the
award of the referees chosen by the said George Mor-
ton and John S. Skinner, or of an umpire to be chosen
by the referees in case they cannot agree upon an a-

ward, shall and it is hereby declared to be binding
upon the said wards as fully and amply as if such
wards were of full age, and agreeing to such reference;
provided such award shall be returned to Anne Arun-
del county court, at the term next succeeding the date
of such award: and provided also, that it shall be made
to appear to the said county court that the confirmation
of said award will be beneficial to the said infants.
