An act to divorce Catharine C. Oldfield, the City of

Baltimore, from her husband, Thomas W. Oldfield.

Divorce.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Catharine C. Oldfield, of the city of Baltimore,
be, and she is hereby divorced from her husband,
Thomas W. Oldfield, a vinculo matrimonii.

An act to Incorporate the Baltimore Land Company.

porated.

SECTION l. lie it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John P. Kennedy, George H. Calvert,
William Woodville and Richard S. Stewart, their as-
sociated, successors and assigns, be, and they are here-
by created a corporation and body politic, by the name

and style of the Baltimore Land Company, and by
that name shall have perpetual succession, and shall be
able and capable in law to sue and be sued, implead
and be impleaded, answer and be answered, in any
court of law or equity; to make and use a common seal,
and the same to change and alter at pleasure, and to
ordain and establish such laws or regulations for the
government and action of said company as they may
find convenient or necessary for conducting the affairs
thereof.

Real estate.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said company shall
have power, and they are hereby empowered to pur-
chase, hold and dispose of real, leasehold and personal
, estate in the State of Maryland, or elsewhere, and
claims or titles thereto, not within the State of Mary-
land, and to prosecute and pursue such claims or titles
in such manner as they may deem most for their ad-
vantage.

Capital $400,-
000.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall not exceed four hundred shares at
the full par value of one thousand dollars each, to be
subscribed on such terms as the president and directors
shall from time to time direct, one hundred of which
