CHAPTER 298.

CHAP. 277.

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act la provide for
the erection of a Bridge over the Great Falls of Gun-
powder, at Tyson's Mill in Baltimore County, passed
at December session eighteen hundred and thirty-six,
chapter one hundred and ninety-five.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of Baltimore coun-
ty, be, and they are hereby authorised and required at
their next annual levy, to levy upon the assessable pro-
perty of said county, any sum not exceeding eight

county, to apply to the legislature to pass special acts
to authorize the building of any new bridge, or the re-
pairing of any old bridge, in said county, as the case

ers whenever any application may be made to them for
the purpose of building or repairing any bridge, as
aforesaid, to decide whether the public convenience
requires the same or not, according to the provisions
of an act entitled, an act, to provide more effectually
for the repairing and rebuilding of bridges in Balti-
more county, and for other purposes, passed at Decem-
ber session, eighteen hundred and thirty-one, chapter
seventy-seven, and the said commissioners are hereby
required to carry the provisions of said act fully into
effect according to the true intent and meaning thereof.
