LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 233.

county, be, and he is hereby authorised and required
to grant to Richard Johnson and Joseph G. Johnson of
Harper's Ferry, in the State of Virginia, the benefit
of the several acts of Assembly, providing for the re-
lief of insolvent debtors, provided, that the said Rich-
ard Johnson and Joseph G. Johnson comply with the
provisions of said insolvent laws in all respects, ex-
cept proving their residence for two years proceeding
their application.

CHAPTER 232.

Passed Mar. 24,
1838.

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act to Incorporate
the Calvert Beneficial Society of Baltimore, passed
at December session, eighteen hundred and thirty six.

Clause repealed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That so much of the act of December session, eighteen
hundred and thirty six, to which this is a supplement,
as makes it obligatory upon the aforementioned So-
ciety, to meet annually on the first Monday in April,
be, and the same is hereby repealed.

CHAPTER 233.

Passed Mar. 24,
1838.

An act to divorce William Start of Queen Ann's county,
from his wife Catherine Start.

Divorce.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That, William Start, of Queen Ann's coun-
ty, be, and he is hereby declared to be divorced from
his wife Catharine Start, a vinculo matrimonii.

Dower and lia-
bilities barred.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Catha-
rine Start shall not be entitled to dower or interest,
of any kind in the real or personal estate of the said
William Start, and that no part of her property now
acquired, or which she shall hereafter acquire, shall
be subject to any claim of her said husband.
