demy; provided, the trustees of said academy comply
with the requisitions of the original act and its supple-
ments, granting donations to the different colleges and
academies in this State.

CHAPTER 168.

CHAP. 169.

An additional supplement to an act, entitled, an act to lay
out and open a Road in St. Mary's county, passed at
December session eighteen hundred and thirty-six,
chapter two hundred, and eight.

1838.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of St. Mary's county are autho-
rised and empowered to levy, on the assessable pro-
perty of the said county, for the use of Peregrine Hay-
den, such sum, in addition to the allowance heretofore
made him, as in their discretion he may be found enti-
tled to receive.

CHAPTER 169.

Additional levy.

An act to authorise Charles Boone, former collector of
taxes, in the second collection district of Anne A-
rundel county, further time to complete his collec-
tion.

Passed Mar. 15,
1838.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Charles Boone, former collector of
the second collection district of Anne Arundel county,
be, and he is hereby authorised and empowered to
collect any taxes or balances of taxes now remaining
due to, and uncollected by him, in the district afore-
said, in the same manner, and with the same pow-
er and privileges, as are allowed by the existing laws
in said cases made and provided.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid Charles
Boone shall in every instance, before he may proceed
to the aforesaid collection, make affidavit before some
