1837.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the inspectors of
primary schools of said county, when that act shall be
in operation, shall pay to the trustees under this act,
annually, out of the school fund of the county, a sum
of money proportionate in amount to the number of
children educated by such society, and the number of
free schools established in Frederick county, together
with the whole number of children educated therein.

CHAP. 143.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the society hereby
incorporated, shall be entitled to all the school fund
intended and secured for the use of the Female Bene-
volent School of All Saints Parish, in Frederick, by
chapter eighty-seven, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-six.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That the property of this
society shall be exempt from taxation until the Legis-
lature shall otherwise direct.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That in the selection of
children as pupils for the benefit of this act, no regard
shall be had, no preference given to the children of
any particular denomination of Christians.

CHAPTER 148.

Not sectarian.

A further supplement to the. act to Incorporate the Mary-
land Mining Company.

Passed Mar. 13,
1838.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the capital stock of the Mineral Bank
of Maryland, which is established by the act, entitled,
a supplement to an act to incorporate, the Maryland
Mining Company, passed at December session in the
year eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter two
hundred and fifty-one, be, and the same is hereby re-
duced to the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand
dollars, in shares of fifty dollars each.

Capital reduced
to $250,000.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the bonus required
by the act to which this is a supplement, shall be re-
duced in the proportion of the reduction of the capital
stock, that is to say: to the sum of nine thousand three
hundred and seventy-five dollars in addition to the
