A supplement to the act, entitled, an act to establish Ma-
gistrates' Courts in the several counties of this State,
and to prescribe their jurisdiction, so far as the same
relates to Somerset county.

Repeal of num-
ber of courts.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the first day of May
next, the original act to which this is a supplement
shall be, and the same is hereby repealed, so far as it
refers to the number of district courts created by that
act for Somerset county, in this State.

Three district
courts.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That in lieu of the magis-
trates' courts established in the several election dis-
tricts in Somerset county, there shall be three district
courts in said county, the number of justices to com-
pose said courts, their tenure of office, their manner of
appointment and their jurisdiction, to remain the same
as are provided for by the original act to which this is
a supplement.

SEC. 3. And, be it enacted, That the following elec-
tion districts shall compose one magistrates' court dis-
trict, to wit: The districts called and known as Bar-
ren Creek District, Salisbury District, Quantico Dis-
trict, and Tyaskin District, shall compose a magistrates'
court district; the districts known and called the Trap
District, Princess Ann District, Hungary Neck Dis-
trict and Dame Quarter District shall compose another
magistrates' court district, and the districts called and
known as Brinkley's District, Dublin District and
Smith's Island District shall compose the third and
remaining magistrates' court district.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said district courts
created by this act shall be conducted in all respects in
the same manner as the magistrates' courts created by
the act to which this is a supplement.
