An act to amend the Magistrates' Court law, so far as re-
lates to Talbot county, passed at December session eigh-
teen hundred and thirty-five, chapter two hundred and
one.
|

Not lawful to
tax appearance
fees, &c.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act, it
shall not be lawful for any judge of any magistrates' court
in Talbot county, to tax appearance fees to attorneys
practicing in said courts in either civil or criminal cases.

No declaration
of cause of ac-
tion necessary.
|
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That it shall not be neces-
sary for any person or persons instituting any suit or
suits in the aforesaid courts, to make declaration of his or
their cause of action, but a plain statement in writing of
the account, note, bill or other instrument, shall be suffi-
cient.

|
Repealed.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all acts inconsistent
with the provisions of this act, be and they are hereby re-
pealed.

An act for the benefit of the person who warms the Court
Room, and has care of the fires in Frederick County
Court.
|

|
Compensation
allowed.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the person who warms the court room and has the
care of the fires in Frederick county court, be and he is
hereby entitled to the sum of one dollar and fifty cents per
|
|
|
How paid.
|
day, lor his services; and that upon a certificate from the
clerk of said county, of the number of days he has attend-
ed, the collector of taxes for said county is hereby or-
dered and directed to pay over, upon presentation of such
certificate, the amount thereof in the same manner that the
jurors of said county are now paid.
