BALTIMORE

COUNTY— The 4th and 5th sections of

the act of 1838, ch. 201, repealed, provi-

ded commissioners of, shall not exceed 7

per cent upon the taxes of the whole coun-

ty, etc. said commissioners to give 10 days

notice of the time of making appointments

for collection of taxes,

Stock created for repairing court house of,

augmented $1500; for payment of interest

and principal of said augmentation, provi-

sion to be made by commissioners of, and

Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, in

the proportions, etc. prescribed for the
payment of principal and interest of the sum

of stock authorised by original act; money

obtained by Mayor, etc. to be paid for pur-

poses of this act by register of the city, up-

on order of court house commissioners,

etc.

Commissioners of tax of, to levy annual-

ly such sum as may appear from certificates

of clerk of the court of, to be due the per-

sons as State witnesses at said court, said

sums to be paid to persons entitled, by trea-
