applied by the trustees of the academy to the uses
thereof, until the value of the other property of the
corporation shall amount to the sum of twenty-five
thousand dollars; and when said other property shall
amount in value to the sum of twenty-five thousand,
said annual products of the labour of the students,
and their instructors in manual labour, shall be sold by the
trustees at such time and in such manner as the commission-
ers for Somerset county shall require it to be sold, and the
nett proceeds of the sale returned, under oath or affirmation,
that they are correct, to the said commissioners, and said
commissioners shall apply said proceeds to the purposes
of common school education in Potatoe Neck, as they ap-

ply other funds to those purposes therein; and when said
commissioners shall suppose that the property of the afore-
said association or body politic and corporate, amounts in
value to the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars, it shall
be the duty of said commissioners and of the trustees of
the academy and the orphans' court of Somerset county,
and they are hereby required to appoint each an appraiser,

and said appraisers shall without avoidable delay, make an
inventory and valuation of said property, and return the same
with a certificate under their hands and seals, that the in-
ventory and valuation are correct, to the said commission-
ers; and annually thereafter, whilst the value of said pro-
perty requires it at such time in each year, as the commis-
sioners shall direct, appraisers shall be appointed, and a
like inventory and valuation be made and returned as
aforesaid.

SEC. 3. And, be it enacted, That any election for trus-
tees of the academy, shall be held on the first Thursday in
May, in the year eighteen hundred and forty, and on the
first Thursday of each succeeding May, at the building of

and conducted as follows, to wit: every subscriber to said
academy, shall be allowed one vote for every five dollars
by him or her subscribed and paid, and the five persons
