1839.

officers fees or public dues, shall deliver or cause to be
delivered to such person or persons chargeable with the
same, or left at their place of residence, at least thirty days
previous to serving or levying such executions, an account
of the sum demanded of him, her or them, which shall
contain the specific items charged, with an affidavit an-
nexed thereto, that he hath not, nor hath any other person
for him, received any part thereof, or satisfaction for the
same, to the best of his knowledge and belief.

Affidavit.

An act to divorce Leak Hoppe, of Carroll County, from
her husband Frederick Hoppe.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Leah Hoppe, of Carroll county, be and she is here-
by divorced from her husband Frederick Hoppe, a vincu-
lo matrimonii.

Divorce.

An act to incorporate the Library Association of the Me-
chanical Fire Company.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General As-
sembly that certain members of the Mechanical Fire com-
pany of Baltimore, have formed themselves into an asso-
ciation for the purpose of collecting a library of literary
and scientific books, and of holding stated meetings for
the hearing of lectures and essays, with a view of excit-
ing and fostering among its members a desire for mental
cultivation and improvement; for the better accomplish-
ment of which design they have asked for an act of incor-
poration; and whereas, the objects of such association
seem to be laudable and beneficial, and said request to be
reasonable — Therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Hugh D. Evans, Thomas M. Locke,
Folger Pope, Philip W. Lowry, Edward G. Starr, James
