CHAP. 220.

in twelve months after the drawing of said lottery or lot-
teries shall commence, as will satisfy the fortunate adven-
turers for prizes drawn by them, and defray the necessary
expenses incurred in the management thereof; and the said
lottery shall be drawn with the Maryland Consolidated
Lotteries, under the provisions of the act heretofore pas-
sed in reference to the subject.

Bond to be lodg-
ed in clerk's
office, &c.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Governor shall
cause to be lodged such bond, in the clerk's office of Ce-
cil county, there to be recorded, and upon such bond or
an office copy thereof, suit or suits may be commenced
and prosecuted against the obligors therein, or any of
them, or their or any of their legal representatives, for any
breach or non-compliance with the conditions of the

same.

Exempt from
tax.

SEC. 3. MA be it enacted, That the lottery or lotte-
ries hereby authorised, shall be exempt from the provi-
sions of the act, entitled an act to regulate lotteries, and
the several supplements thereto, so far as the same impose
or direct that a tax shall be paid on the prizes to be drawn
in the said lottery or lotteries, and as to the time of draw-
ing imposed on the said act.

Repealing
clause.

Proviso.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That every thing contain-
ed in the original art and the supplement thereto, to which
this is a further supplement, inconsistent with or repug-
nant to the provisions of this act, be and the same are
hereby repealed; provided, that nothing in this act shall
be so construed as to repeal any part of the original act,
or the supplement thereto, as provided for the amount of
money to be raised, and the use to which it shall be appli-
ed when raised.

When drawn.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the lottery commission-
ers shall draw the said lottery within three years from the
passage of this act.

An act to change the name of Anna Maria King, of Somer-
set County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Anna Maria King, of Somerset county, shall be
hereafter called and known by the name of Aurelia Win-
der King, and be at all times and in all respects entitled to
