ceed the entire value of said tracl or parcel of land — There-

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the said Sarah Murray, upon the pay-
ment to her,as administratrix of the said John Murray, of
all the purchase money now due with interest thereon ac-
crued, shall be and she is hereby authorised and empow-
ered to execute and deliver to the said Henry Null, or his
heirs or assigns, a deed of conveyance,to be executed and
acknowledged according to law, for said tract or parcel of
land, which was sold by the said John Murray in his life-
time to the said Henry Null.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any deed or deeds
which shall be so executed under the provisions of the
foregoing section, shall be deemed and taken to be in all
courts of justice and elsewhere, as valid and operative to
all intents and purposes as if the same had been executed
by the said John Murray in his lifetime.

CHAPTER 210.

Deed to be con-
sidered valid.

An additional supplement to an act, entitled an act to
introduce wholesome water into the City of Frederick.

1840.

WHEREAS, by an act of the General Assembly, passed
December session, eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chap-
ter one hundred and fifty-five, it was provided that who-
ever should become the purchaser or purchasers of the
works and property of the Frederick water company,
should be entitled to, and enjoy, all the rights, privileges,
powers and immunities which were had, held, used and
enjoyed by said company; and whereas the corporation of
of the city of Frederick has since become the purchaser,
and from the imperfect condition of the works and insuf-
ficient supply of water, it is represented, that to accom-
plish the highly useful objects of its purchase, much ex-
pense must yet be met, and that adequate means cannot
procured save through the privilege of a lottery:—
Therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the mayor, aldermen and common coun-
cil of Frederick,and their successors in office, be and they
are hereby appointed commissioners, with full power and
