CHAP. 170.

and Richard Sheckles, the sum of one hundred dollars
each, whenever he shall have collected the above sum from
a certain John P. May, of the State of Pennsylvania, or
his security or securities, by virtue of a recognizance en-
tered into by the said May tor his appearance in the Wash-
ington county court; and which said recognizance has since
been forfeited by the said May.

An act to allow William H. Fitzhugh, late Sheriff and .
Collector of Washington County, further time to com-
plete his collections.

Time extended.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland.
That William H. Fitzhugh, late sheriff and collector of
Washington county, be and he is hereby authorised and
empowered to collect until the first day of March, one
thousand eight hundred and forty-one, all balances due
him as sheriff and collector of Washington county, in
the same manner which he could or might have done with-
in the time limited by law, any law to the contrary notwith-
standing.
