LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAP. 155.

is hereby established in the city of Baltimore, to be known
and designated by the name and style of the Baltimore
College of Dental Surgery.

ed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the following persons
be and are hereby appointed and constituted (he Professors
of said College, to wit: Horace H. Hayden, M. D., to be
Professor of Dental Pathology and Physiology; Chapin
A. Harris, M. D., to be Professor of Practical Dentistry;
Thomas E. Bond, junior, M. D., to be Professor of Spe-
cial Dental Pathology and Therapeutics; and A. Willis
Baxley, M. D., to be Professor of Special Dental Anato-
my and Physiology.

Incorporated.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Professors
and their successors, shall be, and are hereby declared to •
be a corporation and body politic, to be perpetuated, un-
der the name of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.

Legal capacity.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Professors and
their successors, shall be capable, in law, of purchasing,
receiving by gift, or otherwise, and holding, improving
and disposing of property, real, personal or mixed; and
they may take and receive any sum or sums of money, or
any kind of goods and chattels that may be sold or given
to them by any person or persons, bodies politic or corpo-
rate, and employ the same for the benefit of said College;
they may sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, an-
swer and defend, and be answered and defended in all
courts of law and equity; and they may receive and make
all deeds, transfers, covenants, conveyances, grants, con-
tracts, agreements and bargains whatsoever necessary for

the purposes of the corporation; they may have and use
a common, corporate seal, which they shall have power
to renew or alter at pleasure, and generally may do every
other act or thing necessary to carry into effect the pro-
visions of this act, and promote the interests and designs

majority of them, shall have power to elect a President and
