CHAP. 116.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said levy court,
for the purpose of paying the said sum of money, so to be
borrowed as aforesaid", are hereby authorised and empow-
ered to levy upon the assessable property of Frederick
county, such sum of money as may be sufficient to pay
the sum of money that may be borrowed under the provi-

sions of this act and the interest thereon; provided how-
ever, that not more than two thousand dollars thereof shall
be levied in any one year.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said levy court
be and hereby are authorised and required to procure and
provide, at the county charge, a suitable house to hold
court in, a suitable house for the clerk's office, a suitable
house for the office of register of wills, until the new
court house and the said offices shall be finished and fit
for use; and the clerk of Frederick county and the regis-
ter of wills are hereby directed and authorised to remove
all their papers, records and record books into such house,
for the time aforesaid.

An act supplemental to an act, providing for the appoint-
ment of Lime Inspectors for the City of Baltimore, and
prescribing their duties, passed December session eighteen
hundred and thirty-two.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That there be annually appointed for the city
of Baltimore, two persons well skilled in the quality of
to the city of Baltimore for sale, or to be used therein, in
wagons, carts or other carriages, which shall be measured
by the Winchester bushel, containing twenty-one hundred
and fifty cubic inches.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Mayor be and is
hereby authorised to designate two stands for the inspec-
tion and measurement of lime, in such part of the city as
the public convenience, agreeably to his judgment, may
require; and the said inspectors shall change their stands
alternately, on the Monday of each week.
