brook, late Sheriff of Somerset County.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the time allowed Samuel G. Holbrook, late She-
riff of Somerset county, to complete his collections, by
an act of Assembly passed December session eighteen
hundred and thirty-seven, chapter sixty seven, be and
the same is hereby extended to the first day of May,
eighteen hundred and forty.

An act relating to the compensation payable by officers
to the Sheriff of Harford County, far the collecting
of officers' fees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act it shall and
may be lawful fur the sheriff of Harford county to
charge and receive from all officers, who may choose
to require of the sheriff to collect for them, any officers'
fees, a commission of twelve and a half per cent on the
amount of fees that may be so collected, instead of the
commission heretofore allowed in such cases.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly of

ral election districts of Somerset county, on Wednes-
