A further supplement to an act entitled an act to provide
for the relief and support of the poor and indigent
persons of Worcester county, passed at December ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and thirty-five.

Authority to apply
proceeds of sale.
|
SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners, named in the act
to which this is a supplement, or a. majority of them,
be and they are hereby authorised to apply the pro-
ceeds arising from the sale of the Poor House ami
premises, directed by the said act to be sold, to the
general purposes of the said act, any thing in the said
original act to the contrary notwithstanding.

Further levy au-
thorised.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the levy court or
county commissioners of Worcester county, be and they
are hereby authorised and, required to levy and assess
on the property in the said county, according to the
provisions of the act to which this is a supplement, such
further sum or sums of money, as the commissioners
aforesaid, or a majority of them, may deem necessary
to carry out and complete the purposes of the said ori-
ginal act, not exceeding in the whole, the sum of one
thousand dollars.

An act for the relief of Alexander A. Howard.

Insolvent laws ex-
tended to.
Proviso.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Judges of Montgomery county court, or any
Justice of the Orphan's court of said county, be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to grant to
Alexander A. Howard, of the county of Knox, and the
State of Ohio, the benefit of the several acts of As-
sembly, passed for the relief of insolvent debtors; —
Provided, the said Alexander A. Howard, shall in all
