1839.

Provided, however, that any Inspector may receive his

own proper rents or debts in tobacco.

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That if the nett proceeds

paid into the treasury, in virtue of this act and the

original act, to which this is a supplement, after de-
ducting all expenses herein before provided for, shall

said inspectors, then and in that event, the said nett
proceeds shall be paid and distributed to and amongst

the said Inspectors in equal proportions equally; pro-

vided nevertheless, that if at any subsequent time or

in any subsequent year, the revenue arising from said

warehouse, shall be, sufficient to pay the whole of said
expenses and salaries, and also the arrearages of sala-
ry due said inspectors or any of them, for any preced-
ing year or period, then and in that event, the. treasu-
rer aforesaid, shall allow and pay to said Inspectors
or any of them, out of the revenue aforesaid, such and
all arrearages of salary that may be due them, or any
of them, for any such preceeding year or period of
time.

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That the said warehouses

and Inspectors, established and appointed under the

provisions of this act and the original act to which
this is a supplement, shall be and they are hereby ren-
dered subject and liable to all the regulations and pro-
visions of the several acts of Assembly now in force
relating to the Inspection of tobacco in the several

Laws relative to to-

bacco inspection

applicable to.

counties of this State, and the city of Baltimore, ex-
cept so far as the same may be altered or changed by

the provisions of this and the original act, to which

this is a supplement, or as are inconsistent with or
repugnant to the provisions of the same.

Exceptions.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty
of the said Inspectors and each of them, to account
