CHAPTER 409.

CHAP. 410.

A supplement to the act, entitled, an act relating to the
jurisdiction and powers now vested in Justices of the
Peace for the City of Baltimore, passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and thirty five, chapter
three hundred and sixty-six.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the act to which this is a supplement,
be, and the same is hereby re-enacted and declared to
be in full force and operation so soon as this act shall
be approved and accepted by the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, at any session of the city coun-
cil of said corporation.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Aldermen, by said
act authorized to be appointed, shall be nominated and
appointed by the Governor, by, and with the advice
and consent of the Senate, within sixty days after the
corporation aforesaid shall, under its corporate, seal,
have certified to the Governor its approval and accept-
ance of said act; provided however, that if the said ap-
proval and acceptance shall be certified during the re-
cess of the Legislature, the Governor shall appoint
said Aldermen, subject to the limitations of the fifteenth
section of the act of December session, eighteen hun-
dred and thirty-six, chapter one hundred and ninety-
seven, entitled, an act to amend the constitution and
form of government of the State of Maryland.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall not
take effect until the first day of February next.

CHAPTER 410.

Not in have affect

till Feb. 1840.

A further supplement to the act of December session,
eighteen hundred and twenty-one, chapter one hundred
and thirty-nine, and the several supplements thereto.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Orphan's Court of Caroline
county, be, and they are hereby authorised and em-
powered to collect and receive back from the trustees
of the several located schools in said county, any and
