1838.

of four inches, ten cents for each horse drawing the
same; for every cart or wagon, whose wheels shall ex-
ceed in breadth four inches, and not exceeding seven

inches, six cents for each horse drawing the same; for

every cart or wagon, the breadth of whose wheels shall

be more than seven inches and not more than ten inches,

or being of the breadth of seven inches, shall roll more
than ten inches, four cents for each horse drawing the
same; for every cart or wagon, the breadth of whose,
wheels shall be more than than ten inches and not ex-
ceeding twelve inches, or being ten inches, shall roll
more than fifteen inches, three cents for each horse
drawing the same, and for every cart or wagon, the
breadth of whose wheels shall be more than twelve
inches, two cents for each horse drawing the same.

An act to provide for the authenticating of Acts of As-
sembly.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, and while
the General Assembly is in session, any act of Assem-
bly, certified by the clerk of the Senate and House of
Delegates, shall be deemed and taken as duly authen-

ticated; provided, the Secretary of State of this State,
shall also certify under the great seal of the State,
that the said persons whose names appear to said cer-
tificate, were, at the time the said certificates were
made, the clerks of the Senate and House of Delegates

respectively, which the said certificate it shall be the duty

of the said Secretary to make, whenever required.

CHAPTER 385.

An act to enable, and empower George Purnell, a free
man of colour, of Worcester County, to manumit and
set free, his children Zadock, George, and Charlotte
Ann.
