CHAP. 383.

acknow1edged the day and year aforesaid, before Ira
T. Younger and John Hurtt, two of the justices of the
peace, in and for Kent county, for the purpose of con-
veying and passing an estate of inheritance, in and to a
certain real estate, situate, lying and being in Talbot
county, which descended from a certain Rebecca Bourke
to her heirs at law, and which real estate the said
John S. Blake, elected to take, as one of the heirs of
the said Rebecca Bourke, under a commission to di-
vide the same, to a certain James Redman, of Talbot

county, aforesaid, shall have the same effect and valid-
ity, as if the same deed had been acknowledged be-
fore a Judge of the county court where the said real
estate lies, and had in all respects been acknowledged
according to the provisions of law regulating the. ac-
knowledgements of deeds.

feme sole.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said deed shall
have the same effect to convey to the said James Red-
man, all the title of the grantors to the same, in the
same manner and with the same effect, as if the said
Mary Blake, were a feme sole, and as if no deed of
trust had been heretofore created in the same, in the
said Samuel Ringgold, for the use of the said Mary
and Ann Hopper Blake.

An act to incorporate a Company to make a Turnpike
Road, from or near Boonsboro' through Cave town,
and Smith's town, in the direction of Waynesboro',
to the Pennsylvania line near Ridgeville.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a company he, and the same is here-
by incorporated, for making a Turnpike, road, to be
commenced at some point in or near Boonsboro' and
extended to the Pennsylvania line near Ridgeville.

Subscription—cap-
ital $50, 000.
|
Sec. 2. And, be it enacted, That for making said road,
subscription books for a capital stock of fifty-five
thousand dollars, in twenty-two hundred shares at
twenty-five dollars each, be opened at Boonsboro',
Smiths' town and Waynesboro, aforesaid, by, or un-
