WILLIAM GRASON, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR.

1838.

ty-eighth day of March, eighteen hundred and thirty-
nine, and the said company is hereby made subject to
the restrictions and regulations prescribed in said act

CHAP. 342.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall not be less than three thousand
five hundred dollars, nor more than fifty thousand dol-
lars, to be divided into shares of ten dollars each, to
be raised by subscription, and that the said company

ceeding eight hundred acres, in the county of Kent.

May hold estate.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted. That this act shall be in
force from the passage thereof.

CHAPTER 361.

In force.

An act requiring the Sheriff's of the several Counties of
this State, to serve separately each writ of capias ad
respondendum, in their respective hands against the
same defendant, where the said writs are returnable
to the same term.

Passed April 3,
1839.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, it shall be
the duty of the sheriffs of the several counties, of this
State, and they are hereby required, to serve sepa-
rately, each writ of capias ad respondendum, in their
respective hands against the same defendant, where
the said writs are returnable to the same term.

CHAPTER 362.

Service directed.

An act to divide St. Mary's County into Primary School
Districts, and to erect School Houses therein.

Passed April 3,
1839.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the persons hereinafter named in the
second section of this act, be, and the same are hereby
appointed commissioners of primary schools, for St.
Mary's county, whose duty it shall be, to lay off and
describe their respective election districts, into a suita-
ble and convenient number of school districts, not ex-
ceeding three for the first five for the second, seven
