CHAP. 351.

Under the general

law.

companies, by an act entitled, an act prescribing gen-
eral regulations for the incorporation of manufactu-
ring and mining companies, passed the twenty-eighth
day of March, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, and
said company is hereby made subject to the restrictions
and regulations prescribed in said act.

Capital stock—

shares—estate.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
said company shall not be less than twenty thousand
dollars, nor more than one hundred thousand dollars,
to be divided into shares of one hundred dollars each,
and that the said company shall have the right to put-
chase and hold any lots of land in the city of Balti-
more, and real estate in Baltimore county, not ex-
ceeding one thousand acres.

In force.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall be in
force from the passage thereof.

An act to incorporate the Centreville Maryland Silk
Company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Dr. James Bordley, Thomas W. Hop-
per, William Stevens, Thomas C. Earle, Arthur Em-
ory, jr., Thomas Ashcom, sen., Philemon B. Hopper,
Sally Emory, William Harper, Daniel Newnam, Tho-
mas I. Neavitt, Deborah Bordley, Christopher Bord-
ley, Samuel L. Wright, John Palmer, John Tilgh-
man, Arthur Emory, jr. George C. Palmer, Mary
Emory, John W. Perry, Daniel C. Hopper, jr. James
Fickey, John McFeely, John Perry, Thomas C. Brown,
William H. Emory, Daniel C. H. Emory, Pere Wil-
mer, Sclah Tucker, John R. Davis, Woolman I. Gib-
son, Richard Thomas, Mary T. Shady, John McKen-
ney, and John T. McFeely, and all such other persons
as may be hereafter associated with them, shall be and
they are hereby incorporated and made a body politic
