An act for the benefit of the heirs of Alexander Kenne-
dy, late of Washington County.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General
Assembly, that it would tend greatly to the advantage
of the heirs of Alexander Kennedy, late of Washing-
ton county, deceased, to exchange a portion of the
lands belonging to the said heirs for a portion equal-in
value, belonging to a certain George Nikirk: — There-
fore.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That George S. Kennedy, Executor, and
Susan S. Kennedy, Executrix, of the late Alexander
Kennedy, be, 'and they are hereby authorized and em-
powered to make a conveyance of such land, the quan-
tity not to exceed six acres as the interest of the heirs
may require, to the said George Nikirk, and that the

Executor and Executrix, be, and they are hereby au-
thorized to accept of a deed of conveyance in the
name of said heirs, of such portion of the lands of the
said George Nikirk, in exchange for the lands convey-

ed as before authorized; provided, that the Orphan's
Court, of Washington county, shall adjudge and di-
rect that the interests of said heirs, require such con-
veyance, and that the said Executor and Executrix,
shall comply with such terms in making the convey-
ance as the said Orphan's Court, shall direct.

Proviso.

Sec. 2 And be it enacted, That any conveyance
made under this act, shall be as valid between the par-
ties as if the said heirs were of lawful age, and had
of themselves made such conveyance.

CHAPTER 307.

Confirmation.

An act to authorise the Levy Court of Kent County, to
widen a certain road therein mentioned.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Levy Court of Kent county, in their discre-
tion, are hereby authorised and empowered to widen a
certain road in Quaker neck, in said county, passing
