An act to enlarge the powers of the High Court of Chan-
cery, and the several County Courts, sitting as Courts
of Equity, in this State.
|

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the High Court of Chancery, and the several
county courts of this State, sitting as courts of equity,
shall have jurisdiction in all controversies and matters
of dispute, now pending, or hereafter to be instituted,
between part owners of ships, vessels, schooners, or
steamboats, and shall have full power and authority to
decree a sale of any ship, vessel, schooner or steam-
boat, held by part owners, and to apportion the pro-
ceeds thereof among the parties interested, according
to their respective interests, and shall in general have,
use and exercise all such jurisdiction, power and au-
thority, as now are used and exercised by the chancery

courts of this State, in cases of partnership; provided
nevertheless, that the said county courts, as courts of
equity, shall not hold jurisdiction in any case where
the defendant, defendants, or some one of the them, is
not a resident of the county where the bill is filed.

from her husband, Henry Hunt.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Ann Hunt, of Anne Arundel county, be, and she
is hereby divorced, a vinculo matrimonii, from her hus-
band, Henry Hunt.
