Society.

CHAPTER 184.

1839.

An act for the relief of J. Noble Nesbit.

Insolvent laws ex-

tended to.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Judges of the Orphan's Court of Allegany
county, or any Justice of said Court, be, and they are
hereby authorized and empowered to grant to James
Noble Nesbit, now confined in the Jail of Allegany
county, for debt, the benefit of the several acts of As-

sembly, passed for the relief of insolvent debtors; Pro-
vided, the said James Noble Nesbit, shall in all res-
pects, (except that of proving residence) comply with
the requisitions of the several acts of Assembly, for the
relief of insolvent debtors; And further provided, that
this act shall not operate to discharge, release, or dis-
solve any attachment now pending in any court, in any
district, state or territory; but that the said attachment,
if any be pending shall be as effectual, to all intents and
purposes, whatsoever, as if the said James Noble Nes-
bit, had not been released by and under the insolvent
laws of the State of Maryland.

CHAPTER 185.

1839.

An act to divorce Mary Wills, of Dorchester County,
from her husband David C. Wills.

Divorce.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Mary Wills, of Dorchester county, be, and she
is hereby divorced from her husband, David C. Wills,
a vinculo matrimonii, and that the said Mary Wills,
be permitted to act in all respects as a feme sole, and
have the custody and guardianship of her children.
