An act relating to surveys in Queen Ann's County.
|
Any person
skilled in sur-
veying.
|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That any surveying of land hereafter to be
made in Queen Ann's county, by authority of law or under
any warrant, writ, commission, order or process, issued from
the county court of said county, may be made and execu-
ted, by any person skilled in surveying, and all surveys and
locations of land made in said county, by a person skilled
in surveying and qualified to make the same, shall be as

valid and effectual in law as if the duty had been performed
by a county surveyor. Provided, nothing herein contained
shall be so construed as to prevent the county surveyor from
making surveys and locations, whenever he shall be called
upon, or employed to act.

Make oath.
|
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That in every case, before
any surveyor authorised by this act, shall proceed to make
any survey or locations, he shall make oath to execute and
perform his duty as surveyor, according to the best of his
skill, and without favor partiality or prejudice, to any of
the parties interested; and the said surveyor shall be enti-
tled to the same fee as are now allowed to the county sur-

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent
with the provisions of this act, shall be and the same are
hereby repealed.
