CHAP. 65.

best, and shall in general have and exercise all such rights,
priviledges and immunities, as by law are incident or neces-
sary to corporations, and may be necessary to corpora-
tions herein constituted, and to enable the members to exer-
cise all things concerning the designs of this corporation,
of the benevolent relief of the sick and distressed and the
promotion of their purposes generally.

ved.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly
of Maryland, reserves the right to change, alter or amend
this charter at any time.

Issue forbid.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall
be so construed as to authorise the said corporation to issue
any note, scrip, token, device or evidence of debt to be
used as currency.

 

CHAPTER 64.

Passed Jan.
31, 1844.

An act to authorise Henry Harding, administrator of
Thomas F. W. Vinson, late sheriff and collector of Mont-
gomery county, to complete his collections.

Administrator
to collect.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, that Henry
Harding, administrator of Thomas F. W. Vinson, late
sheriff and collector of Montgomery county, be and he is
hereby empowered to collect all fees, taxes and levies, in
the same manner in which the said Thomas F. W. Vinson

Provisoes.

in his lifetime was authorised to do, whilst he was in office,
provided that if any person or persons, his or her or their
representatives against whom any such fees or taxes may
have been rendered, will make oath or affirmation before a
justice of the peace, that the same has been satisfied or
paid, that this act shall not extend to such cases, and pro-
vided also, that the powers conferred by this act shall not
continue in force longer than the first day of March eigh-
teen hundred and forty-six.

 

CHAPTER 65.

Passed Jan.
31, 1844.

An act entitled, an act to allow Benjamin Yingling, further
time to complete his collections.

Time allow-
ed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Benjamin Yinging of Carroll county, be and he is
hereby allowed until the first day of January eighteen hun-
