CHAP 50.

and the said trustees, and their successors may and shall from
time to time apply the interest or proceeds of such invest-
ment or endowment in such manner, for the benefit of said
seminary, as they may think proper and best, calculated to
advance the interest of said seminary, and thereby effectuate
the intentions of this legislature in reference to the same.

the said trustees, and they are hereby directed, to educate
annually, after the seminary shall be in full operation, one

CHAPTER 49.

25, 1844.

An act entitled an additional supplement to the act entitled, an
act to incorporate the Patapsco Bank of Maryland.

Repealed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That so much of the seventh fundamental article of the
charter of the Patapsco Bank of Maryland, as restricts the
president and directors thereof, to the discounting of notes
and bills, not having a longer time to run than six months,
be and the same is hereby repealed.

 

CHAPTER 50.

Passed Jan
26, 1844.

A further supplement to the act entitled, an act to incorporate
a company to make a turnpike road from the city of Balti-
more to Havre-de-Grace.

Preamble.

Whereas upon application of the Baltimore and Havre-
de-Grace Turnpike Company, it is represented to the Gen-
eral Assembly, that application has been made to said com-
pany, by certain proprietors of lands over which said com-
