CHAPTER 357.

An act to prevent trespassing upon Carriages or Coaches in
the city of Baltimore.
|
Subject to fine
&c.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, it shall not be
lawful for any person whatsoever to sit, stand or place him-
self, or to lay or deposite any bundle, article or burden
upon any carriage or coach, whilst the same is being driven
through any street, lane, alley or other thoroughfare of the
city of Baltimore, without the previous consent of the
owner or driver of such carriage or coach, under a penalty
of one dollar, for every such offence, recoverable before a
justice of the peace for the said city, as small debts are
now recovered, and to be applied to the use of the said
city, from the party violating the provisions of this act, if
of lawful age, or from his parent, guardian or master re-
spectively, if he be under age or an apprentice, servant or
slave.

An act to continue in force, such acts of assembly as would
expire during the present session.
|
Expiring acts
re-enacted.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all such acts or parts of acts as would expire with the
present session of the General Assembly, be and the same
are hereby re-enacted and continued in force to the last
|
Provisoes.
|
Monday of December next, and to the end of the session
of the General Assembly next thereafter. Provided how-
ever, that this act shall not extend to or embrace any acts
or parts of acts which may have been or shall be repealed,
or in any wise modified at the present session of the Gen-
eral Assembly; and provided further, that nothing herein
contained shall be construed to extend to renewal of char-
ters of banks or internal improvement companies, or exten-
sion of time to the same.
