chap. 239.

of Caroline County, be and they are hereby authorised and
empowered to alter and change the location of said school
from its present site, to or near a place commonly called
"Sharpers Branch or Gravelly Branch," in said district, on

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That for the purpose of
effecting the aforesaid change, in the location of said school,
the said trustees or a majority of them and their successors,
be and they are hereby authorised, in their discretion to sell
the present school house or to remove the same; provided,
that if a sale thereof shall be deemed most expedient, then
and in that case, it shall be the duty of said trustees to ap-
ply the proceeds of such sale, towards the erection of a
suitable school house at the said place called Sharpers

portion of the
school fund.

Branch or Gravelly Branch as aforesaid.
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That nothing contained in
this act, shall be so construed, as to prevent the said located
school from receiving the same propoitions of the public
school fund for the present year or hereafter; as it would
have received and enjoyed, if the said location had not heen
altered or changed, or that any other located school or
schools in said district may or does now possess and enjoy,
any law, usage or custom to the contrary notwithstanding.

An act to incorporate the Centre Lodge, number forty, of
the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, in Howard Dis-
trict in Anne Arundel County.

Incorporated.

Section J. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Daniel S. Armstrong, Thomas Sister,
Jacob Bradenbaugh, William H. Smith, James M. Barnes,
Joshua Meller, James B. Hodgson, Edmund Taylor, James
M. Bryan, James Spicer, Charles Marean, George W.
Isaacs, Ezekiel Mills and others, the officers and members
of Centre Lodge, number forty, of the Independent Order
of Odd Fellows, in Howard District, of Anne Arundel
county, and their successors, be and they are hereby
declared to be, a community, corporation and body politic
forever, by the name, style and title of Centre Lodge, num-
ber forty, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and
by that name they and their successors shall and may at ail
