of the October term, eighteen hundred and twenty-eight of
said court, it being number one hundred and fourteen, and
standing in the name of John McKenney, use of James Bar-
rail trustee &c. vs. Arnold Jacobs, and to file the said return
with the vendi exponas in number eighty of said docket,
which stands in the name of John McKenney use of Hamil-
ton and Hood vs. Arnold Jacobs, to strike from the back
of said last mentioned writ, the endorsement now thereon,
and to note upon said writ and upon the docket of that
term, "lands and tenements sold as per special return to John
McKenney. "

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said special return
when filed in obedience to the directions of this act, shall
have the same effect and validity in law, as if the same had
been so filed by the said Thomas Roberts, upon the return
of the said last mentioned writ of vendi. exponas.

CHAPTER 224.

 

An act for the benefit of Thomas Hook.

Passed Feb.
14, 1844.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Thomas Hook, former collector of taxes in Carroll
county, be and he is hereby authorised to complete his col-
lection of taxes at any time before the first day of May,
eighteen hundred and forty-five, and that he shall be and is
hereby authorised to exercise all the rights and powers,
conferred by existing laws, on collectors of county taxes,
for the purpose of completing his said collections, up to
the said first day of May eighteen hundred and forty-five.

CHAPTER 225.

 

A supplement to the act entitled, an act to incorporate the
Mutual Fire Insurance Company in Harford County,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
two.
