CHAP 162.

liam M. Maynadier, shall before proceeding to make such
sale give a bond to be approved by the Orphan's Court of
Harford county and to be by them recorded, conditioned
for the faithful performance of the trust imposed upon him
by this act.

Make return
to Orphan's
court.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said William M.
Maynadier shall make as soon as conveniently may be to
the said Orphan's Court a return under oath of such sale
when made, and the said court shall then direct such dispo-
sition or investment of the purchase money as in their judg-
ment may be most for the advantage of the said idiot; and
for any default to make such return or of any other duty
under this act, the said Orphan's Court may direct the bond
of the said Maynadier to be put in suit.

 

CHAPTER 161.

27, 1844.

Preamble,

An act to cure a defect in the acknowledgement of a deed
therein mentioned.
Whereas, in the acknowledgment of a deed from Samuel
Vanderford of the State of New York to William Shoe-
brooke, of Queen Ann's county in the State of Maryland,
executed and acknowledged before two justices of the
peace of Queen Anne's, on the twenty third day of January in
the year eighteen hundred and twenty-eight, it was omitted
to recite the year in which said acknowledgment was ta-
ken—Therefore.

Made valid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That said acknowledgment be, and the same is hereby
made as good and valid in law to all intents and purposes
whatsoever, as if the year in which the same was taken
had been regularly recited therein.

 

CHAPTER 162.

Passed Feb.
37, 1844.

An act for the relief of Eli S. Baldwin, Sheriff of Prince
George's County.

Levy court to
levy.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Levy Court of Prince George's county be, and
they are hereby authorised and required to levy on the
assessable property of said county the sum of one hundred
and fifty dollars For the use of the said Eli S. Baldwin,
being the amount of reward paid by him for the apprehen-
sion of criminals who had escaped from jail.
