Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the president and directs of said corporation within sixty
days after the said company shall be organized and the
stock in the same subscribed, to deliver to the register of
Baltimore city, or to the levy court or county commission-
ers of the county in which the same may be situated or
held, a true and faithful account of all the stock, property
and assetts belonging to said company, that the same may
be rateably assessed and taxed as the property belonging
to individuals.

An act to incorporate the Baltimore and Liberty Turnpike
Road Company.

Preamble.

Whereas it is represented to this General Assembly, by
the petition of the inhabitants of Baltimore county, who
reside on or near the Liberty road, the present county road
which for a large portion of the year, is almost impassable,
subjecting them to great inconvenience, and not unfrequently
almost excluding them from market. Therefore,

Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a company be incorporated to make a
Turnpike road from the city of Baltimore, beginning at the
intersection of the Reisters-town Turnpike road and the
