CHAPTER 109.

CHAP. 111.

An act to authorise Jonathan Barkdall to close up part of an
old road in Allegany County.

Passed Feb.
17, 1843.

WHEREAS the old road leading from Cresaptown to the
Potomac river in Allegany county, in this Stale, (it being a
part of the Winchester road, ) has lately become useless by
the opening of a new road nearly parallel to it and leading
from Cresaptown to the same point.

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Jonathan Barkdall, be and he is hereby authorised to
shut up and enclose the said old road so far as the same is si-
tuated upon his own land; provided, the commissioners of
said County give their assent thereto.

CHAPTER 110.

 

An act relating to the Clerk of Harford County Court.

Passed Feb
18, 1843.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the day of the passage of this act, the
clerk of Harford county court, may place his fees in the
hands of the sheriff of said county, at any time between the
first day of January and the first day of April in each year,
and the sheriff shall collect and account for the same on or
before the twentieth day of November in each year.

CHAPTER 111.

 

At supplement to the act entitled, An act passed at Decem-
ber session, eighteen hundred and thirty-eight, chapter
two hundred and five, relating to the lien of Mechanics
and others, upon buildings.

SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That from and after the first day of April next, the
provisions of the act to which this is a supplement, shall be
extended to Howard District of Anne Arundel county, to
all intents and purposes as the same are by said act extend-
ed to the city of Baltimore, except as is hereinafter men-
tioned.
