the name by which he shall be known at all times and in
all places, and all his legal acts heretofore done and execu-
ted, shall be valid to all intents and purposes in the same
manner, as if he had received the said name in baptism.

An act to make valid a deed therein mentioned.

16, 1843.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the deed made to William Newton, of Baltimore
county, by John F. Counselman, and Elizabeth his wife,
and others, for a certain tract of land lying in Baltimore
county, known by the name of Risteau's establishment,
which is recorded in the land records of Baltimore county,
in Liber. T. K. No. 275, folio 146, be, and is hereby de-
clared valid, in the same manner, and to the same extent as
if the said William Newton, the grantee in the said deed
had been a naturalized citizen of the United States, at the
time of the execution thereof.

CHAPTER 8.

 

An act to allow further time to Benjamin T. Pindle, Sheriff
elect of Anne Arundel county, to execute his bond for the
year eighteen hundred and forty three.

Passed Dec
29, 1842

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Benjamin T. Pindle, sheriff elect of Anne
Arundel county, be, and he is hereby alloted until the
twentieth day of January next, to execute his bond to the
state, as sheriff of Anne Arundel county, for the year
eighteen hundred and forty three, and that the said bond,
ii executed and approved on or before that day, shall be
as valid and binding on said sheriff and his securities, as if
executed within the time limited by law.

Further time
allowed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all official acts
done and performed by said sheriff, after he shall have bond-
ed as aforesaid, shall be. as valid and effectual in law, as if
he had executed his bond within the time prescribed by
existing laws.
